Qlip is a leader in organising chemical and microbiological proficiency tests for milk and dairy products, and is ISO17043 accredited. Over 100 leading laboratories from more than 20 different countries participate in our proficiency tests.

By participating in a proficiency test, your performance of laboratory analysis is compared with that of other parties. Under ISO17025 accreditation laboratories are required to join proficiency tests.

  • Moisture
  • Salt
  • pH
  • Fatty acids
  • Peroxide

Microbiology proficiency tests

  • Bacterial count
  • Inhibitors / Antibiotics
  • Thermoduric streptococci
  • Lactobacilli
  • Coliforms
  • Enterobacteriaceae
  • E. coli
  • Coagulase-positive staphylococci
  • Yeasts and moulds
  • Vegetative Bacillus Cereus
  • Salmonella
  • Listeria Monocytogenes

Custom-made proficiency tests

Measuring instruments are also used at dairy production locations, mostly based on infrared technology and for specific products. Customised surveys are also organised at the request of dairy companies. The various production locations then take part in custom-made proficiency tests. In this way the dairy company gains insight into the performance of an analysis at the various production locations. Interested? Contact us to discuss the possibilities.

Reports

After sending the proficiency test and collecting the analysis results of the different participants, a detailed accredited report is drawn up with a clear presentation of the results. Experience shows that the professional reports are highly appreciated by the customers. An example of a report is available under ‘Downloads’.

Your participation

Participation in a proficiency test is based on an annual subscription. Proficiency tests are conducted two to three times a year at scheduled times. Within the subscription you can indicate which proficiency test you want to participate in. In mid-October/November you will be invited to check your subscription for the following year. This can be done in your online CPS customer portal. New customers can use the proficiency registration form below. More detailed information is available in the document ‘Proficiency Tests – General Information’.
